Alex Zwerger and Barbara Wittmann are two illustrators and game designers currently residing in Hamburg, Germany. Together, they have been making analogue and digital games since 2014 at HAW Hamburg.
The two met in 2008 through their common love for Silent Hill and drawing comics. They have been collaborating on comics, animations and other projects since 2011 and have been working on games together since 2014. Aside from Signalis they have made several smaller digital games as well as two board games.About Alex
Alexander Zwerger grew up near Munich, his family is half Austrian and half Chinese-Malaysian. He studied Computer Linguistics, then Communication Design and graduated in 2016 in Illustration at HAW Hamburg. Since then he is in the Master's program studying Interactive Illustration and Games. His passion is game design and he is constantly working on Signalis. He is also very interested in exploring the topics of cultural identity, technology, language and philosophy.About Barbara
Barbara Wittmann is from Bavaria as well and is a translator/interpreter for English-German and has translated several roleplaying books as well as the video game Man'O'War: Corsair. She too has studied Communication Design at HS Augsburg and then graduated in 2016 in Illustration and is now in the Master's program studying Interactive Illustration and Games at HAW Hamburg. She is interested in games, art and language.

Awards & Recognition
- "PAX East 2018 selection by the Goethe Institut" - We were selected, together with 8 other German game dev studios, to exhibit Signalis at PAX East, April 2018.
- "Hamburg Games Culture Exhibition" - The Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg, Germany, had Signalis on display from October 2016 until April 2017.
- "PLAY Creative Gaming Festival 14 & 15" - Early versions of Signalis were shown at both events in Hamburg, Germany.
